Located on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, is one of the most delightful of Chinese cities. About 1 hour express railway away from Shanghai, Nanjing is known as the capital city of six dynasties in China’s history, with a brilliant cultural heritage. Like most major cities in China, modern Nanjing has experienced rapid development, with great dramatic changes over the last two decades.
